Job Summary: IDS is currently looking for. a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other important data. You will utilize various tools and technologies to accurately measure and map out land areas. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, proficiency in surveying software, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This is a start up company. I am looking for some one to help me in the surveying industry for a 70/30 partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys using specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and robotic instruments
- Collect data on land features, property boundaries, and elevation using surveying techniques
- Analyze survey data to create accurate maps, diagrams, and reports
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate project planning and execution
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working on-site
Experience:
- Associats degree in Surveying or related field preferred​
- Proven experience working as a Surveyor or similar role
- Proficiency in surveying software such as Revit, CAD, MicroStation, or ArcGIS
- Strong knowledge of drafting principles and practices
- Familiarity with geometry, algebra, trigonometry, and other mathematical concepts relevant to surveying
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
